This cable allows you to connect a serial ATA hard disk to the serial ATA controller in your computer. Serial ATA is the new fast standard for hard disks and CD-ROM drives, and supports hotplugging, etc., giving far higher speeds than the old ATA100 and ATA133 standards. The cable is also very thin, giving far greater flexibility and better air flow through the case.
